The government made universities expensive so native people will not be able to get a degree and force importing immigrants. Education should be free. Not for the rich.

The reason you're importing doctors and nurses for the NHS is because the NHS is a *PRICE CONTROL*, and price controls create shortages. This is Econ 101. In this case, the price control is on the wages doctors and nurses command, which is half what they earn in the U.S.

Simple answer, govt doesn’t pay British doctors enough to save spending, and prefers importing from third world. For those doctors it’s a handsome money in UK. I don’t know who makes these sort of policies. Pay what is fair to all. And your structure would get fixed automatically
