The costs are simply too high. Costs come from 3 directions: Labour costs - labour have already increased them, and will continue to. Energy costs - labour have and will continue to ensure they rise with their deluded energy policy. Uncertainty costs (planning) - Labour may or may not fix this. Since labour are increasing 2 out 3 of these, it's unlikely Labour will change the direction we're heading.

Firstly, my 4yo nephew has better tools than that. Tell your media team to go to Screwfix instead of Argos. Secondly, you basically mean houses for migrants. We don’t want the migrants. So no need to build migrant houses. Just send them home, where they already have houses.

@UKLabour and @labourpress should turn this into a Party Broadcast

@GordonMcKeeMP As a member of @LabourHousing and a critical friend of @UKLabour we will only be seen as serious when we remove the 1947 TCPA with the greenbelt and bring a new Town & Country Planning Act with proper zoning.

Britain is not broke or anything like it.The govt just doesn't prioritise redistribution Labour had years to make a radical plan and enact it on Day 1. It didn't.And don't say "We inherited blah blah".There is plenty of money but for 14 + years its been funneled to the rich

Mate, I didn't expect to spend three minutes watching a video from a young Scottish DIY MP. And I did. Engaging and impressive. Keep up this stuff, brilliant work. From an Englishman no less....!!!

Absolute nonsense to blame the planning system for not delivering housing. Get down to your local council and ask before spouting such rubbish. Over the past decade, Salford has the construction of 20,344 new homes, including 3,201 affordable homes.

Agree with all this but Curzon Street is in central Birmingham. Not a suburb.

Have you seen the state of what Labour did to towns in the 60's and 70's... abhorrent.

Let's remember who crashed the economy in 2008, yes, it was Labour 👇, and we are still paying the price for Labour & Tory incompetence.

You say homes but we need council homes, something you state an old government did but you lot can’t commit to. You haven’t introduced rent controls so people are not wasting money on rent

Smoke & mirrors. More public money diverted to the private sector, which will ultimately cost way more for inferior services/infrastructure. A real Labour government, like the one under Attlee had the vision that brought us the NHS and Welfare State. starmer is a poor substitute.

Why are you not fighting against the ludicrous plan to waste £32 billion renting territory we already own? Think of what could be built with that? When we wave vast sums of public money off like this, for no good reason, we are corrupt -plain and simple.

So you didn't go for a job in heavy industry then? Not too late for you to put your effort where your mouth is and retrain. Mind you there are unlikely to be subsidised bars and restaurants and housing on expenses.

I really wish you were right and Labour would deliver on the building stuff agenda. So far, after one year, progress has been far far too slow. So slow you will fail miserably on the house building target. You cannot achieve these aims by adding to regulation and taking a centralised approach to over rolling failed planning appeals. Liberate land use and you’ll empower an army of small and self builders. Quosh all quangos that block or delay infrastructure or house building. Reign in the power of NIMBYs. Your fine ideals will only be achieved by empowering the masses.

Absolutely agree we need to build more homes and infrastructure, but I'm not convinced the govt is going about this the right way. Planning reform watered down, I don't see energy prices falling anytime soon, safeguarding for hs2 east removed, slow progress on SMRs.

the uk is a shit place to do business, there's just no point with things how they are scrap the right to strike, minimum wage, compulsory maternity, holiday and sick pay, incapacity benefit, the triple lock, equality act and there might be some incentive to invest here

Great video! So far construction has fallen, we will see if anything changes. All you do see so far from this government is tax rises including the stealth tax increase on income tax.

sounds good but meaningless when the Labour party is actively supplying weapons to a genocidal state, providing surveillance from RAF Akrotiri and training IDF soldiers

He makes some great points but fails to understand that both Conservatives and Labour are controlled by WEF. As long as any UK politician is allowed to be a member of any unelected, non-UK organisation things will never change. Rishi Sunak - Conservatives - WEF puppet Keir Starmer - Labour - WEF puppet

Come back to me in 4 years and we’ll see what you’ve built. Labour couldn’t organise a 2 float parade, they have ruined town centres and turned a blind eye to Pakistani grooming/rape gangs. Reeves has trashed the economy and you spend billions on overseas vanity projects.
