Why can’t Mercedes do this?

One reason is that Tesla probably spends more on compute for each version of FSD than Mercedes makes in an entire year. To win you have to be a tech company that also makes cars, not the other way around.

They can, actually. Mercedes has L3. Tesla does not.

Tesla is years ahead with training and the number of miles on FSD. Every other system is geo locked to highways and a particular set of circumstances. Tesla has the only universal FSD that will navigate any road and situation with minimal interaction of the driver. No glaze, just facts. Tesla is the only system I trust at the moment.

🤣🤣 Except Mercedes new system has US and EU cerified and is point to point! Rates above FSD in all aspects. Drive Assist Pro first on 2026 CLA. 30 sensors. No wonder it kicks the shit out of FSD.

Just bought a Model Y Tesla to replace my 2022 E53 AMG Mercedes. This is my 3rd Mercedes. First one was great - consistently gone downhill. This one has had nothing but problems. Had it since August 2024.

I simply dont understand people who buy cars at the same price that arent autonomous. If you cant make it to a used Tesla, fine get whatever then. But otherwise, why would someone get a stupid car when you can get a comuter on wheels constantly updating and getting better??!
