Don't replace, repair the pipe. Eliminate infiltration fast with the premier Internal Pipe Joint Seal, HydraTite. These seals are custom-manufactured to fit any man-entry-sized & structurally sound pipe. Don't wait for infiltration to create sinkholes. Install HydraTite.

Only speaking about this this morning

Copper pipes fail when used with well water. The minerals in the water react with the metal and causes it to fail. Don't ask me how I know this.

It’s not the copper but the high lead in the solder used to connect the pipes: “ lead in solder used in plumbing is considered very dangerous as it can leach into drinking water, posing a significant health risk, particularly for young children and pregnant women, even at low levels of exposure; therefore, most countries have banned the use of lead solder in plumbing systems due to its toxicity.”
