gatekeepers.

Because it stole their research??

I can’t stand listening to this guy’s gravelly voice.

The idea AI hasn't killed coding jobs is not correct.

Angry or not, its happening. And some will adapt and adopt, and some won't.

the Jevons paradox will save developers for now, but it might not apply to mathematicians

If you believe ChatGPT solved an unsolved maths problem then you’re either paid by them or incredibly naive. If you understand the technology behind LLMs you know they can’t create something truly unique or solve any unsolved maths problem.

Because it wasn't so helpful to the field of mathematics. Just presenting a proof to a problem without giving any insight will not help the field of mathematics progress forward in a meaningful way for us humans.

mathematicians: 30 years on one problem openai: one weekend and a launch video

The whole point of us making the artificial intelligence as a super intelligence is that it can surpass us and help us with us in the loop. In fact, that’s why we all use AI daily to increase productivity/deliver tasks. As for the mathematicians, as they work hard on these problems they would get the frustration because I am assuming the value of their roles might reduce with time. But I am sure there are good amount of mathematicians who would see this as growth and accept it.

The solution lies in quantum computing. Once hardware and energy barriers are overcome, every scenario—most notably my favorite, P vs NP—will be solved. Until then, claims of a solution using current infrastructure are nothing but a mirage and a dream.

#RiemannHypothesis is #LEAN4 approved.

I don't know if there's anyone dumber in the space than the people whom intentionally play this game like they don't know why people don't like ai or the major lab companies etc it's such a weird schtick or just pure stupidity
