The Syrian Government has intensified their efforts to further marginalise the Kurdish people in Syria. By orders of the Syrian Government, the Justice-Palace (Courthouse) building had its Kurdish (&Arabic) elements in the building and the walls removed and replaced it with English and Arabic elements. The courthouse of a Kurdish region and city now does not allow the use of the Kurdish language - a direct violation of the integration agreement. Now there is popular unrest in the city. Kurdish residents have torn down the sign. Syrian Government affiliates are again issuing calls for a tribal mobilisation against the Kurds.

My comments on DW News: " The civilians will benefit from it (ceasefire), because the Syrian Arab army are now approaching Kurdish majority areas and I think there're gonna be a lot of sectarian tensions and violence if the Syrian army is allowed to enter those areas. And we saw also before that when the Syrian Arab Army moved into minority areas, like from Alawite and Druze, there were like thousands of people killed."

There is currently a protest outside the newly opened US consulate in Erbil, against the Syrian army’s advance toward Kurdish areas around Kobani and Hasakah in Syria. Some of the protesters appear to be Syrian Kurds, while others are from the Kurdistan Region. The protest is still fresh, and social media reports suggest more people are joining. As for the situation on the ground, two phone calls by the Syrian president point toward cultural rights and only limited, area-specific administrative self-rule. One was a call with Masoud Barzani yesterday, in which Barzani’s statement focused on protecting Kurdish rights. Today, al-Sharaa’s call with Trump appeared to centre on the same theme: protecting Kurdish rights within a unified Syria.

What some countries did to us—occupying Kurdish lands, dividing Kurdistan into four parts, separating us, oppressing us, taking away our rights, marginalizing us, and sowing discord to keep us weak— is being addressed today by Israel, by defending the Kurdish people and their rights, uniting our ranks, and working towards a strong and united Kurdistan. An Arab woman speaks fluent Kurdish and there are a lot of great examples like this. A different example: I know a Kurdish–Persian couple. The man is from Mahabad, and the woman is from Tehran. She speaks fluent Kurdish. The first time I met them, I thought she was Kurdish. But after their visit, my mother said, “She speaks fluent Kurdish.” And i replied, “Isn’t she supposed to? She’s Kurdish.” (I was confused) She said, “No no, she isn’t Kurdish. She learned Kurdish in the past year or two with her husband.” I said, “What? She speaks fluently Mother, what do you mean she isn’t Kurdish? Where is she from?” My mother said, “She’s Persian from Tehran.” #Kurdistan

I have mentioned this. The Syrian Government media sphere is using footage from people killed by the Syrian Government and attributes their death to the Kurds in Rojava, Syria. This footage was taken by a Kurdish journalist in the hospital of Kobane - published by Ronahi TV (a Kurdish channel) The village was attacked by the Syrian Government during which the STG seized control of the village (you can check the timeline, we reported this way before the STG seized control over this village) But for better understanding: if the village was not in Kurdish control, then the wounded children would not have been brought to the hospital in Kobane. Logic: if the YPG was in control of the village, why would they start to bombard it? If the YPG did bombard the village as it was in STG control, why were the children then brought to a Kurdish hospital in Kobane? Syrian Government Media does not even care to accurately create their propaganda. They know that by now, they can blame anything on the Kurds and the STG fanatics will believe it. The village is currently under the control of the YPG again - and it is being attacked by the Syrian Government.
