I'm so sad for this generation of young men. I mean truly sad if this is the garbage they have to choose from. My first boyfriend didn't have much money, I was in college and broke. We literally used to save our coins and once every 2 weeks we'd go get a hamburger, fries, and a small drink for $1.00 at a local owned burger shop. That was my evening out and I looked forward to that treat like crazy! A typical weekend was a day hike in the mountains (it was free and wonderful to get outside from being couped up all week studying). Saturday nights? We spent at his parent's house for dinner and watching TV...free. After dinner, we'd walk 3 blocks away to a huge park for a stroll and chat time (we lived in different cities and only saw each other 1-2 a month). Again free. I didn't have a car or know how to drive so he'd run me up to parent's house and drop me off. There was a creek that ran through the park. We'd go to a local grocery store, get a small container of liver, tie pieces off on a string and have a competition as to who could catch the most crawdads in the creek. Again, cheap entertainment and free. No shack jobs, no screwing around, no expensive gifts, no expectations or demands...just having fun as young kids and appreciating the simple things that made life memorable. Those were kinder and better times.

Isn't it weird? That women are becoming more garbage while men are deliberately picking such garbage and wifing them up.

PS That boy also taught me how to skim stones on lakes on our day hikes. Sweet memories.
