Why do voting machines exist if they don't make voting more secure, faster, or cheaper? Despite hundreds of complaints about their use, the rationale behind their adoption remains unclear. Are they truly beneficial, or just a tool for manipulation? Scott Adams

American politics makes more sense when you understand that in different ways, both parties, their pundits, their operatives & their media machines are trying to help their donors depoliticize the looting of America. They are trying to make politics, voting and elections about literally anything other than every single person being fleeced at every single minute of every single day. Why do they want to depoliticize that systemic pillaging? Because they do not want anyone to think that elections can change the economic superstructure that enriches their donors. They do not want the political conversation to be about how nobody can financially survive - because if the political conversation is about that, the elections might actually create a mandate to do something about it. The line in Wall Street sums up their attitude: "We make the rules pal...You're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy are you?"
