One religious organization that is not segregated is Jehovah's Witnesses. During the Jim Crow era in the South, although forced by law to have separate congregations, they associated with one another. The minute the Jim Crow laws were abolished, the congregations mixed.

White woman commented on her video, where she was talking about getting Republicans out of office. She basically stated that she and her community will be voting red in Texas. It had nothing to do with race or history, just referencing the area. Lily appreciates the inclusion of person of color as character in classic English literature, while talking about Wuthering Heights. “… Can we talk about the fact that Heathcliff, I don’t know his exact race but I think it’s implied that he’s black or mixed or other. I found that so cool as someone who reads classics occasionally, I’ve never ever seen a person of color in a classic before and I love the fact that that wasn’t like the whole story that was just like a throwaway thing nobody cared about that.
