Why does Hell exist if God forgives?

Evil is the absence of God, all that is good, true and beautiful. Hard to imagine people reject this.

Because if people truly choose to turn away from God, there needs to be way to honor their free will, and hell is that honoring of their free will of total separation from God, which is the choice of the person, not God

There as people who will not accept God and it is where the demons are

Hell is your own choice & making. God begs you not to choose it. The willfully defiant don’t listen. They’ll reap the misery of their own making. This is why Catholics pray for people to repent & convert from their ways. It’s out of love - we want Heaven, not hell, for them too.
