There is simply no comparison between a red/purple state to a deep blue state. This is especially true when it comes to fiscal accountability. I’m not a scholar on this, but I believe early on it was corruption then liberal policies that unbalanced the state financially.

Because we were forced to support an undisclosed amount of illegal migrants into our state The healthcare, social services, Housing and education systems both local and state are over burdened.

NH altogether is much better run. I lived there in the mid 1990’s. The schools are funded primarily by property taxes, like in other states but are quite a bit higher. Roads are pretty much well maintained. RI state government squanders money like a drunken sailor. And is corrupt

They do have high property taxes but the state is fiscally responsible unlike democrats with their “freebies”, over spend, and find more ways to tax so they don’t have to be fiscally responsible

Crypto profits would be taxed like stocks, meaning gains would be subject to a flat capital gains tax regardless of how long the assets were held. I cannot vote for a budget that provides little new property tax relief to the families of #HD60 and Texas. With an over $24 billion budget surplus, we must do more for our constituents, and for that reason, I cannot support this budget. I am hopeful the final version does more for property tax relief. #txlege

🚨 HMRC took £90.4 BILLION more from taxpayers last year. That comes directly from the National Audit Office. In just one year, HMRC collected 10.3% more tax - an extra £90.4 billion! Thanks in part to frozen tax thresholds, 1.1 million more people were dragged into paying Income Tax. So HMRC clearly has no problem taking more money from you. What it does have, is a problem passing audit. For the 24th year in a row, auditors were unable to give HMRC a completely clean audit because they found significant levels of fraud and error. And now Andy Burnham is reportedly considering another £38 billion of tax rises. How about before taking another penny from taxpayers… …they stop the fraud and error and prove they can properly manage the record amounts we’re already paying?
