Yes, I’ve proved the value of my centralized economic system with young-adult fiction novels.

Many such cases.

Socialists have this notion that wealth comes from natural resources. They can’t wrap their heads around the idea that wealth can be created out of thin air by offering any type of value to consumers. It’s a banana republic mindset.

Socialism fails because they have to do all of these mental gymnastics to demonstrate how a system of voluntary exchanges between consenting parties is more parasitic and exploitive than a system largely based off of involuntary exchanges and top-down economic policies

Can you post links to the charts and resources you used when you make these videos? A website that has all the citations for each video you make would be super helpful.

They always have to fall back on some pop culture example. It’s pathetic

Thank you for your service, but I fear for your health. Subjecting oneself to this much brainrot cannot be sustainable.

Socialists when America trades with other countries: “they’re extracting the wealth” Socialists when America doesn’t trade with other countries: “they’re withholding the wealth”

"In order to defend socialism, I must cite a fictional scenario" Yeah that checks out.

The funny thing is that the government of Panem exercises total state control over the economy, production, and distribution of resources

What is hidden in the argument is the "takes their wealth" Like we steal it. When what we are doing is buying it which makes the poorer country richer. But I suppose I should say that there are examples of what she is talking about like how British Petroleum's rose to become one of the big oil and gas companies of the world.

Ironically, we "sell" our debt to investors from across other nations and when they buy it, we have to "pay out" the investment before interest gets too high. I feel like we should make sure our house is in order first before lending out our "debts".

She looks like an adult. But she actually said "I'm going to use the story of The Hunger Games to explain...." Which is when I stopped watching.

Ahh yes everyone down to their DNA needs to support socialism to work because that’s an achievable goal nothing can be against socialism and the bar that defines support would never change. Always fails because never enough support.

Hunger Games as a reference book made me check out. Any argument she might present is automatically invalid. That might be why it always fails. The only people who believe it can work would use a young adult novel as reference.

The fundamental problem of her analysis is that she sees countries as socialists by default, or otherwise strongly controlled by the local goverment, such that wealth produced by extraction (in fact, they consider wealth as inherent in the resources, even before extracting them) is literally the wealth of the country, and if you see the country as an individual unit, then it could be forced to make inconvenient market decisions due to pressures from the strongest powers. But when we talk about a wealthy country, we're actually referring to the private sector, which is the one that really generates value. The state itself can have, and usually has, deficit. Yet private companies can gain wealth and indirectly improve the local economy by functioning the same way they do in richer countries. In fact, companies FROM richer countries can help do that too. Under that paradigm, there's always a local benefit from extraction, no matter what geopolical pressures happen on a higher level. Of course, under socialist rules this isn't the case. Companies are either public (much less efficient for sure) or bound by strict local regulations that make them strongly tied to international relations. Consider than even in "normal" countries this is partly the case, because of things like tariffs or import benefits resulting from bilateral agreements. But a public company has the extra weight of having to work for the "benefit" of the country instead of persuing raw profit.

Hey instead of comparing the capitalist to China let’s compare America to some where in the global south.

Bro, China is the world's factory. They buy raw materials to make goods that Western corporations brand and sell for massive profits. The US controls global markets, uses the dollar, and stations troops to protect capital. China is a middleman; the US is the empire.
