Why don't jet engine blades melt at 1,700°C? Engineers use clever active cooling, channeling compressed air through tiny internal passages so blades survive the extreme heat of turbofan cores. Without it, modern flight would be impossible. The hottest part of the jet is kept alive by cold air.
