Why elevation worship should be avoided. This is Brandon Lake. People are seeking a high from performance rather than worshipping in awe and reverence.

Artist like Brandon Lake have helped new Christians enjoy worship music. I now listen to all kinds of worship music even gospel and house gospel. I don’t appreciate you telling me my heart isn’t full and I’m not in reverence when I’m singing with tears down my eyes. BTW: I was filled with the Holy Spirit during Brandon Lakes Gratitude at Charlie Kirk’s memorial

I was raised around speaking in tongues, revivals, etc. This is nothing. I agree it is very high energy, but I find the music very uplifting. I love old-school hymns but also the modern remakes by Toby Mac, Mercy Me, and many others. I’ve seen Toby Mac and Mercy Me in concert; they are very non-showmanship. Sorry, not sure how to explain it.

I’ve never seen Mercy Me act like this before. Even Third Day didn’t act this way. There was some good music back in the day, but Hillsong, Bethel and Elevation crank out false teaching in their lyrics.

I’ve heard a couple Elevation Worship songs but not the others.

Its a concert… and people share scripture and pray for one another and we all look to Christ. But go on and keep judging people praising Christ. Im sure thatll work our for you.. my Jesus kind of said not to do what youre doing

I think it is a church. But does that matter? If it’s about worship the building doesn’t change the purpose. This isn’t a Rolling Stones concert.

You can have your little corner of Heaven where you fold your hands and do Gregorian chants. But I got news for you Terri, Heaven is gonna be a lot more lively than a Brandon Lake/Elevation concert. Hope your knickers don’t get in a bunch.

Can both be true? Can he worship AND be so joyful that he leads an awesome performance in reverence to God. I want to put on great moments on a stage to glorify God by doing the best I absolutely can. Can both be true?

People can worship how they want to worship. David ran around with no clothes on in the Bible praising God because he was so excited. Not saying that’s what we all should do but just a little example.

Why don’t you show anything from Lead Pastor Steven Furtick and not simply the worship team.. show the message he preaches… the music is one thing, the message is a completely different topic.

I’ll never forget the time the Pastor at Seacoast rode a motorcycle on the stage. I asked my friend, a worship member at the time, “Why don’t they talk about repentance?” Answer: “We are seeker friendly.” It was years later that I got saved, completely apart from that “church”.

If you can give a high performance to the world, you can give a high performance for the Lord and fill the seats. Worship and praise is not supposed to be boring. Worship is singing dance praise screaming yelling singing! Worship with your whole body. Mediocre faith sings hyms.

Singing, chatting, praising opens up your ability for your spirit to receive.

Because of Brandon Lake I dicovered the holy gost! I did believe but was decieved! God loves it when we dance and are happy because of Him. Brandon has a lot of bible true lyrics in his songs!!

They have people excited about Christ - they’re not naked and dancing around sinning or spreading hate. Sometimes judgement is a form of spreading hate as well…

Does it matter? Christians should not cut each other down. Isn’t there enough evil in the world that you should take a stand against? There are people that Brandon Lake is reaching w/ the message of Christ that otherwise might not have ever been saved.

They’d be better off going to a rock concert

I disagree, we come to worship in different ways. He is reaching a brand new group of people, the Heavens rejoice. Remember the worship isn't for You.

This is a Brandon Lake concert…one like I attended. This is not an Elevation worship service….but there was definitely worship during the concert. It was very spirit-filled.

Brandon used to live down the street from me, and performed at our church when not on the road. He’s nothing like this in our church.

No, thanks. This kind of singing in churches has ruined the worship experience, in my opinion. This is what I call radio music. Keep it on the Christian radio station. But let’s get back to the old hymns of our faith. Bring back the hymn book. 📖
