I think half the spergs around here just found a way to reframe & reinterpret their most interpersonally irritating deficiency. They'll now have the ability to view their rudeness & unpleasantness as a sign of innate brilliance.

Intelligence is positively correlated to ability to drive a car. This reminds me of the pop culture nonsense that high IQ people are deficient at common sense tasks. There's no evidence supporting these ideas. Ridiculous.

I struggled with learning to drive because every teacher and guide stayed a system of rules that in practice was not true. Driving in practise only has a suggestion of rules - it’s actually more like a culture, but normal iq people always confuse their culture with rules.

They are highly specialised.

Can't they break down the task of socialising into its components and refine them? Why would their intelligence be unable to treat rhetoric or telling stories as an equation?

A correlation of 0.3 means that 9% of social skills are explained by IQ. In other words, being intelligent actually makes you significantly more socially skilled. Furthermore, an example from a sitcom, and to anecdotes from real life...? This is ridiculous.

Actually turned out that Sheldon could drive but he couldn’t be bothered so he didn’t tell anyone. He like Leonard driving him everywhere 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It actually just means that some parts of your brain work and some parts don’t cause your brain is not a cube

My mother worked in a hospital where one of the neurosurgeons couldn't tie his shoes.

Cannot drive cars? *Clutches pearls* Poppycock old chap, driving a car, juggling or drumming is virtually autonomous, after a certain degree of embodied practice, surely?
