Did you want him to convert to one of the 10,000 different Protestant cult sects that all disagree with each other on interpretation ?

When He was on earth didn't He teach us the way to eternal life through Him? Aren't we supposed to believe everything He taught us to do and be if we want eternal life? He taught water baptism in His name in which we are anointed by the Holy Spirit as Christians (anointed ones), He taught us the need for repentance of our sins and we know that sins are disobedience of the 10 Commandments and they condense down to the 2 great Commandments to love God and our neighbours. And so repentance means apologising for our failures to love God and neighbours and resolving not to do so in the future if we want salvation right? So, we are commanded to believe and repent, we are not saved by Faith Alone but by Faith and Love by the grace of God. Jesus started HIs public ministry by preaching, 'Repent and believe the Good news for the kingdom of God is close at hand.' If we want salvation we are given TWO COMMANDMENTS NOT ONE, not faith alone, we are commanded to have Faith AND Love: 1 John 3:22-24 Whatever we ask God [including salvation], we shall receive because we keep his commandments and live the kind of life that he wants. His commandments are these: (1) that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ AND (2) that we love one another as he told us to. Saint Paul clearly teaches here that we are to keep the Law by acts of love, we have to love God and our neighbours if we want salvation. Galatians 5:13-14 My brothers, you were called, as you know, to liberty; but be careful, or this liberty will provide an opening for self-indulgence. Serve one another, rather, in works of love, since the whole of the Law is summarised in a single command: Love your neighbour as yourself. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And that correlates with what James was teaching in James 1 and 2, they had faith but no love for the poor, also with what Jesus taught in the Gospels, see Matthew 25 judgement scene (mercy is love in action/at work), the command to forgive others (act of mercy) if we want to be forgiven, the Beatitude to be merciful (Blessed are the merciful, they shall receive mercy), the command not to deny Jesus (love God and neighbours), the command to do God's will (which is that we love God and our neighbours) the command that we not just have faith even to cast out demons etc. but that we put love into action as in Matthew 7: 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (Evildoers? Yes they refuse to love others), the command to keep our lamps burning (with love), the command not to grow lukewarm (in love), the command to bear fruits (of love), the command to be like the Good Samaritan who put love into action all show that we must be merciful if we want salvation and mercy is love in action or love at work. We are commanded to love God and our neighbours if we want salvation. Every day that's a new challenge.

1. Church A claims to be the single true Church. 2. Church B believes Church A teaches serious doctrinal error on salvation. if a high-profile athiest moves into Church A, why are members of Church B expected to celebrate? if Catholics wouldn't celebrate someone becoming a Protestant, expecting Protestants to celebrate the conversion relies on an asymmetric standard. genuine conviction doesn't applaud what it believes to be theological error.

Someone who believes the earth is 6.000 years old, shouldn’t discuss anything serious. Mainly not about Catholicism.
