Why I HATE “Independents” During Election Season

I consider myself independent cuz there's so many Rs that are nothing other then Ds. I am voting for Trump. The R GOP is so bad in my state I don't want to be identified with them. I'm a proud independent American.

Garbage take. America was literally built by people who demonstrated an “independent” mindset. It was built by people who broke away from group think and blind loyalty. Independents keep the self serving duopoly at least somewhat honest, as they know that there are important votes out there that they can’t take for granted. People who mindlessly vote for a Democrat or a Republican because that’s their “team“ are a big part of what is wrong with America today, because they’ve forgotten that their goddamn team is America and not some political party. Again, garbage take.

Word. What I cannot stand are the undecideds. How in the name of Jesus can you be undecided this late in the game in an election where the two sides are so completely different? If they are truly undecided at this point, they might as well just go take a knitting class rather than cast a ballot, because clearly they are clueless about what is going on.

Rob, what if I believe the two party system is one of our biggest failures as a nation? What if I believed voting RFK can make a statement about viability of 3rd parties in the future.

So very very wrong. The beautiful part of not having an ideology is that I don't have to defend the indefensible which every ideology has to do. The mistake you're making is believing ideas are only right and left. I believe they are right or wrong.

They sit and complain. Voting for a third party is stupid. Just stupid. You have to vote the facts what’s better for the country. That’s it.

Respectfully, sir, you are incorrect. We’re not sitting on the fence. We know exactly where we stand. Unfortunately, There are not enough of us to make our candidates viable and in the end we have to choose one party or the other. My political life started out at 18 as a registered Democrat. When I could no longer tolerate their bullshit. I became a libertarian as their perspective is closer to mine. As the different parties evolve, or more information is available, some of us independents/libertarians have even started to lean a little right. But certainly not enough to identify as a Republican. To be honest, it appears to me that there are two factions or maybe three in each of the parties. Do you call Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger Republicans? And it seems to me that most of Donald Trump’s views are libertarian. I really think you should marinate on this little little bit more.
