Why is the personal allowance still £12,570?!

@EssexgoonerMr Been saying this myself for a while now. Yet there are non- working families combined benefits getting more than the Personal Allowance rate and not paying tax and NI like the rest of us do. Why?

Maybe too big an issue for NPCs to wrestle with but all taxation is essentially theft. When the mafia apply a similar ‘protection fee’ for your safety - we rightly see this as extortion. When people were forced to work and the ‘employer’ stole 100% of their labour efforts we rightly call this out as slavery. When people are taxed at over 50% they are by definition 50% slave.

@EssexgoonerMr It’s because the Tory government ran up a national debt of £2,800,000,000,000. That’s the biggest debt to GDP ratio since the war. The last time our economy had this level of debt we put the top rate up to 90%. No one is cutting tax. The country is in collective denial

@EssexgoonerMr Absolutely 100% valid point. Inhumane taxation of the lower & middle income people need to stop. Taking half of the people’s fairly accumulated wealth is not done. Cut spending. Education, healthcare & public infrastructure gets priority funds. Everything else, should STOP.

Isnt that how socialism is supposed to work. You tax from those who make to give to those that dont. Eventually, no one makes enough anymore cause those that made value leave for a place where they can create value. Government isnt creating value in making for the people as they take the value created by the maker and give it to those that dont make anything.

@EssexgoonerMr It is the HIGHEST personal tax allowance in the G20! Everyone should contribute into the system. All benefits should also be taxable income as many countries do so. This doesn’t mean tax reform isn’t required from high income earners and wealthy.
