Why isn't Carson Wentz throwing this to Jordan Addison?

He is Carson Wentz, but also he basically had no 1st team reps all offseason

There were at least 3 plays where Addison was wide open because he smoked the CB or there was a lapse in the coverage and Wentz missed all 3

prob cause he just got in and hasn't had reps, so he's not seeing the whole field just certain go routes

This is the Carson Wentz experience, he's a below average-average backup QB. We saw this last year.

Avg QB at best. But also had Jets 1v1 on a comeback route as his first read so he never goes off it. But with deep help from the safety, the CB is playing that comeback well

Wentz will throw to Addison next week. He is a mid skill robotic QB and needs to get a lot of reps this week to download his progressions. He was not ready to "compute" Addison yesterday.

Wentz’s usage of the slot receiver has generally been average to below-average unless dictated by specific offensive schemes. Will throw to X if has good one. Throughout his career, Wentz has leaned on tight ends as his ultimate security blanket. This was reflected yesterday.

A few great throws aside, his overall game was lackluster at best. Maybe/hopefully that improves with a full week of QB1 reps in practice.

Looking at the endzone view, it looks like the passing lane was obstructed and he just might not have been able to see Addison as he was being screened by ONeil, Brandel and the Packers RDE
