Exactly!!! And it's one of the reasons Luffy is such an amazing protagonist, and the very heart of One Piece. He's always freeing people from their burdens, whatever they are, while also following his own dreams, and he's been doing that since his first appearance 😭 I love him

Disappointed there isn’t actually 379 replies. Luffy deserves each one

Fujitora's speech about Luffy at the end really solidified him as one of my favorite characters.

This speech makes me tear up everytime. The horrors Fujitora must have experienced to blind him being outshone by Luffy. Fujitora realised that the evil won't go away if you ignore it, itll only go away when kind men actively seeks it eradication. Hope is Freedom from despair.

I am wondering what defines a good MC in that guy's mind? Is it power? Badassery? Power ups? All fractions that make an MC but not the whole picture. Luffy is great cause of many reasons but one that resonates with me is that he steps up for people who need it the most.
