It's crazy how out of place tac sprint feels with omnimovement. I don't really see the point of including it at all when no other direction besides forwards uses it.

i'd be totally cool with removing it if base sprint speeds got boosted some - especially if it smooths out movement let 'tac sprint' be your dedicated melee

This was in the beta too. It was like a "fatigue" if you change directions too frequently. If I threw shoulders slow enough it would never happen. If I upped the tempo? Eventually it would lock me out and slow me down.

I still can’t put my finger on what feels worse today vs pre warzone. To me, the delay and fatigue seems even worse

This is a great observation, but I don’t think this is the only reason why movement feels bad. I think there’s also an issue where it just kinda feels like you’re sliding around on skates while sprinting/sliding with too much inertia or something. It’s hard to explain it exactly, but I just don’t feel as “planted” as I did in MWIII when moving

This is quite literally the biggest issue with the game right now. And it’s not something small, this is the type of issue that can make the games movement feel like a 5/10, opposed to a 10/10 if it wasn’t like this.

Yeah that plays a major role as well for overall movement but shouldn’t effect dead slides

Make the dedicated slide button and it will fix it

Hey Treyarch, wanted to provide some feedback on the movement system in #BO6 In BO6, there is a significant delay in being able to perform a dive or slide when coming from a 'standing still position' Whereas in MW3, you can dive and slide pretty much from a standstill in position. In bo6 it requires you to get moving up to a full sprint if you want to do any form of movement and this leads to an overall feeling of 'clunkiness' and is far from the fluidity that omnimovement should be providing. I think the main issue here is being able to go from standing still to immediately getting up to your tac sprint speed. Regardless, very excited for BO6 but I hope things like this are addressed by the time the full game releases.

Your sprint setting might make you slower. I'm not joking...🤷‍♂️ You get full sprint velocity on Frame 1 after finishing a Mantle....but only on toggle sprint. On Hold sprint u have to accelerate back to sprint speed. This even applies to auto sprint, which is supposed to ignore the toogle/hold setting lol. This directly effects other movement tech like Superglides or how you get to slidejump after mantling. So hold to sprint is objectively worse than toggle sprint. And if you use auto sprint make sure sprint control is set to "press"

BF6 First impressions? Fun as hell. Movement is pretty penalized past 10m but still useful in close range engagements. I set sprint to the W key so it'll auto sprint, and set slide to a separate bind so I dont have to double tap to slide Guns feel great so far. The recoil patterns give them their own identity and feel, instead of just being laser beams with cluttered visual recoil. I do need to unlock those extended mags so i can really farm kills. Performance wise, I haven't had any game crashes or alarming game bugs. I do notice with TAA turned off, some objects emit an extremely bright light that looks like sniper glint, but you can turn it on, or turn on DLSS to fix it.

Axel is wayyyyy more broken then we even realized.... Before only octane or maggie could chain slides back to back (as long as you retained your ability...) But Axels passive slide ability means you can INFINETLY slide chain back to back with tapstrafing.... I'm not even good at movement and I could chain back and fourth for a decent ammount of time... Apex Legends FIX THIS ASAP

Force yourself to play low 🔥 Slide cones are perfect for teaching game-like movement because they force you to drop your shoulder, change levels, and attack at a tighter angle. If you stay too high, your defender can chest you off. If you get low, you create space, sell the drive, and get by your defender. Save this series and add it to your workouts if you want your handle to actually transfer to the game 💯

Class is in session, fellas. When doing adduction machine, you want the biggest stretch… and at that point, the weight still needs to be suspended (not resting on the stack). In order to do this, get in the machine, slide your ass up the back rest (stand up) and adjust to the widest position. Then sit down. Do your set. Stand back up and release. Seen too many dudes fuck this up.
