Recently switched to a more expensive Burford Buff… totally different taste, texture, and most likely nutritional value. The cheaper (still weren’t cheap) ones were getting more and more watery with pale yolks. Disgusting things floating in the white often as well…

For those whose hens don’t lay in the winter, full spectrum lights along with the heat lamps and some pepper in the feed will help.

Ive always felt that people should be keeping their own Hens. Minimum of a couple, such a good and critical food source.

leilani, you might think I;m mental, but my Granny's when the ladies got broody hot flushes , she used to make me play my Oboe. I am not kidding, just sit don there practicing and over a couple of days of them being more outside strutting the temp came down.

Explain to the 2-4 (they know who they are) that they're for the pot if they don't buck their ideas up.
