Even dying abroad looks more dignified than dying in Africa. Look at the burial of this 85-year-old woman. Her husband is sitting there in a wheelchair. Nobody is wearing expensive funeral uniforms. Nobody is pretending. Everybody came as themselves. No loud wailing. No fake public performance of grief. Just acceptance of one painful truth: death comes for everyone. No extravagant funeral. No party disguised as mourning. Just a peaceful and beautiful farewell. That is why traveling abroad is not only about money. My children are watching this show called "Wild Kratts" that teaches them about animals. At one point mongoose fights and kills a cobra. One of the characters feels sad for the cobra, but his brother says, "this is just how nature works, predator and prey, there's no bad guys." So why are humans so different? On an atheist worldview humans are just another animal, and we’re also a part of nature. So when a man rapes a woman there's no bad guy... there's just predator and prey, right?
