And that’s exactly why he’d be such an interesting fit for Roberto De Zerbi. Tonali thrives in high-intensity football. He’s constantly scanning, covering huge distances and looking... to play forward rather than simply recycle possession. His athleticism and ability to break lines make him the type of midfielder who can inject tempo into every phase of the game. That’s why he feels less like a conventional number six and more like the engine of the midfield.
