🇺🇸 The F-22 is the stealth king of fighter jets, but why does it have 2 thrust-vectoring nozzles instead of 3 like Russia’s Su-57? Because 3 nozzles require a round exhaust, and round shapes reflect radar straight back, making the jet easier to detect. The F-22 uses 2 flat, rectangular exhausts, which scatter radar waves away and help keep the jet stealthy. The trade-off: a bit less extreme maneuverability, but far better stealth, which is why it’s still one of the most advanced fighters in the sky. Source: Aviation Insider

The contract with Elbit subsidiary Cyclone will extend the F-35 "Adir's" operational range, reduce dependence on aerial refueling, and improve flexibility on long-range missions. No F-35 operator across the dozen-plus nations flying the jet has done this before. The catch: external tanks may compromise stealth capabilities. Testing will determine the trade-off.
