Exactly the same reason they are not needed for walking

I’m sure they are needed for the benefit of pedestrians.

I mean... the motorised traffic is literally stopped at the lights allowing the cyclists to do this.

What about when a pedestrian wants to cross that lot? I would find it really frightening, particularly right now when my arthritis is acting up.

I want to go 30kph. I prefer lights
