To be clear (I wish I didn't have to explain what's already clear), I am not even saying you can 'change race' or 'identify' into whatever one. BUT the above makes more sense than simply 'identifying' as a different gender. Because 'race' is a far more blurry concept.

I have been saying this for so long. Nobody is REALLY black or white. Skin complexion is hardly ever that dark or that light to actually be the color black or the color white. Why call me 'white' when a Japanese person has lighter skin than me? And then that person isn't white?

Racial terms are socially constructed. In the most obvious way.
