Head of Tehran’s Fire department gives statistics: • Over 50 heavy vehicles (such as fire trucks) have been damaged nationwide, with 8 fire trucks completely out of use, up and till now • In Tehran, rioters set fire to fire trucks while they were en route to a residential house fire, preventing the crew from reaching the victims (the crew managed to rescue the victims regardless). • Specialized emergency equipment was stolen from emergency vehicles. • Mashhad: An entire fire station and its equipment were burned. • Isfahan: 15 emergency vehicles were damaged. • Ahvaz: 5 vehicles were targeted. • Shiraz: A fire station was set on fire. • Izeh: The Red Crescent’s building was set on fire (see video).

Incredible courage demonstrated by a Ukrainian tank crew member. His tank was hit by a Russian drone and caught fire, and he got outside and put out fire while tank was on the move. He saved his brothers in arms and a tank. Kudos to you, hero. 🫡

From “house fire” to “dad fired up the smoker.” Yesterday evening, Durango Fire & Rescue and Durango Police were dispatched to a report of heavy gray smoke coming from a home. That call matters. Heavy smoke near a house is exactly the kind of thing we want people to report. But here’s where technology gave first responders a huge head start: our drone operator was able to quickly get eyes on the scene from above. That vantage point would have taken fire and police longer to reach by vehicle, even driving Code 3 with lights and sirens. Within a couple of minutes, the drone helped confirm the smoke was coming from an attended smoker grill, not a house fire. Responding units were downgraded, unnecessary emergency driving was reduced, and the situation was confirmed Code 4. No fire. No injuries. Just barbecue. We are calling that a low-and-slow emergency with a tasty ending. Drones do not replace first responders. They help us get better information faster, make safer decisions, and send the right resources where they are needed most. And yes, we fully support responsible grilling. Just maybe warn the neighbors before you smoke a brisket so hard it triggers a multi-agency response. #DronesForGood #PublicSafety #DroneAsFirstResponder #FirstResponders #GrillSergeant #DurangoPD

This gets worse. So not only did the US Navy fire two missiles and kill three Indian sailors they refused to rescue the 24 Indian crew despite saying they are on fire, the vessel is sinking and that they are an all Indian crew. The Omanis rescued them.
