I’ve been teaching a kid since she was 7 years old, and now she’s 11. When she first started, I’d use the Pro Drum FC charts as “sheet music” and a visual for her to play along, follow and learn the drum parts. We still use drum charts as an added way to learn!

I really do have hope for pro drums and it’s sad to see people give up on it. I hope that they are just trying to find a person to make drums with right now. Hopefully that’s the only thing holding them back for a release of pro drums (hopefully crkd will help them XD)

This is arguably Pengaudzoke's best album for me. The drumline has a backstory. When this album was recorded the drummer had left the band. I think it was Lameck Fadueki. So Josphat was who also plays drums taught Rangarirai Mupombera to play drums a few minutes before a show in Karoi. Ranga was the gate security & cashier guy for the band. He had never played drums before. That is how we ended up with this jam. If you listen carefully he was missing some beats here and there but that is why it is a work of art.

I was so grateful to paint a set of drums for Danny Carey. He is one of the greatest drummers of all time, so it was a profound honor and joy. And I love Danny. A Lot of people do. Every performance he gives is filled with the fiery pulse of the universe and of course he provides the heartbeat for Tool (Band). “Danny’s Eardrum,” it is the origin of the blue dot pulse beat in the center of the flaming eyes that repeat throughout the drumset. I imagined Danny listening to the shamanic visionary drummer inside that was channeling sonic waves of the cosmos and coming through his mighty arms onto the drums. Video by Modern Drummer
