The hands get caught in their hair, they poke their eyes, pinch themselves due to reflexes. But I can’t imagine that a baby would wear gloves all day. I see no issues with gloves.

Gloves are used to help prevent the lil plump from scratching her own face. Their nails grow so fast. Our solution was simple. A super fine Emory board used on the finger nails as often as needed. So every day if needed. Not a big fan of socks of booties - their feet are too cute to cover.

Baseless. Don't avoid gloves in a infant atleast till 3-4 months of age. Infants are at a high risk of hypothermia especially if you don't keep their hand, legs and head covered.

Both my kids wore gloves as babies and both as adults now, have absolutely nothing wrong with their sense of touch. We wore them gloves to prevent pple from having direct contact with their hands.

Avoiding gloves helps babies learn to feel textures and develop touch skills.

@GodswillChemist Totally agree with this - also had a friend whose child was struggling to walk & medical professionals were suggesting horrid braces … mum said take the socks off so they can grip the floor & hey presto! Interfering with natural processes can cause issues & also hinder immunity

I have four children and they never wear mittens. If it's too cold for them, I wrap them in baby sacks or swaddles to keep them warm. I trim their nails as soon as they get home. I've noticed my down syndrome girl has good sensory development because she never wears mittens.

never understood why these gloves were needed. only outside maybe

I have a facial scar from the day I was christened where I scratched myself. Other babies end up pulling their own hair as their fingers get entangled, but they have no clue or ability to untangle them. Gloves and babies can be very useful.

At this point, I’m convinced every “APA” (American Pediatric) recommendation is the opposite of what we are supposed to be doing bc they see all compromised and the goal by evil was to sabotage our youth &fracturr families. Go back to what our Tias & Abuelitas taught us. 💝

So then how do you prevent babies from clawing their faces off..? Even with trimmed and filed nails, my baby still scratches face

Anyone who has a kid understand they try to literally scratch there eyes out. They have no clue what there doing and constantly rub the hands and face. And yes you can cut there nails but again anyone who has kids knows they grow back extremely fast and there extremely hardto cut

An infant can damage one's own eyes and ears in that stage of life. Gloves are to prevent permanent damage. After a few months, they can learn the touch. Are you a doctor seriously?

I used them on my son as he had eczema on his face & even though I trimmed his nails they would get very sharp, so if he tried to scratch it would’ve been a blood bath! I don’t think at night time they’re going to miss a lot of stimulation.

Mine would take them off lmao

its to keep the baby from accidentally scratching his eyes.

Children learn through touch ❤️ Wearing gloves all the time limits important sensations that help the brain develop. Unless it’s cold or for protection, let kids use their bare hands to explore and learn naturally.

LOL stop inventing shit

@MeritJames4

Makes sense...good Doctor

A loose thread in the glove can encircle a finger and cut off the blood supply - finger dies. It's happened more than you think.

i've had young family members grab chunks of their own hair. completely fine to give them gloves sometimes when you don't wanna watch where their hands are going.

I had a child that did not wear gloves as a baby. She turned out just fine.
