Yesterday, Rafif, my wife, and I went out together. The entire outing was for Rafif — so she could regain her health, her smile, and her strength to overcome everything she’s going through. I realized that every time Rafif steps out of the small room we live in — a room that feels like a trapped prison — she breathes life again. Our life here in Khan Younis barely allows us to move except within very limited areas, yet those simple moments together, sitting around a small table in a tiny place, were unforgettable for our little family, despite everything happening here in Gaza. That short outing brought so much positivity… Rafif’s spirit improved, and my wife and I could see it clearly in her beautiful eyes. And you, dear friends… we will never forget your kindness, your prayers, and your continuous support. We love sharing every moment we go through with you. Rafif’s family is grateful to you — and we love you, truly.

Rafif shined today… she smiled as if her tiny hands were fighting back every pain. She did everything I asked of her, as if she was saying: I’m still here… I’m still fighting. Alhamdulillah. We will never forget every person who prayed for her, who supported Rafif and our family when we were standing on the edge of collapse. After Allah, you were the reason she continued to grow and receive care despite the harsh conditions surrounding us and the suffering that never leaves. How can life change in just a single moment? Only moments ago, there was laughter, joy, and play. I was doing everything I could to create a few happy memories for my daughter, Rafif — small moments of happiness for a child who deserves nothing but a normal childhood. And then, suddenly… everything changed. Powerful explosions. Walls shaking. Buildings trembling. And our hearts feeling as though they were about to burst from our chests with fear. Is this justice? Do we deserve all this pain and terror? At any moment, you may hear that Rafif’s entire family is gone. The days will pass, life will move on, and perhaps we too will be forgotten, as so many others have been forgotten. But Rafif was here.
