Mabel wants to know why people are like this. Olive has seen it all before, and is tired.

Perfect.

It worries me how murderously angry I get when I see this sort of thing. Sometimes it’s 10 paces from a bin in the park.

Join 24,000 dog owners picking up a couple of bits of litter on walks to protect animals, communities & the environment. It only takes a minute but feels great! Started in NE Scotland & now in 70 countries worldwide removing over 35 million bits every year, a few bits at a time.

My Mum always carried gloves and bags in a rucksack and cleaned up after others as she walked the dogs. She set the example to me. We always clean up after others who seem to see and seek the beautiful Countryside but then ruin it for others. Leave nothing but footprints.

We have just driven over a thousand miles through Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada, there wasn’t a single piece of roadside litter. Not looking forward to heading back to Ayrshire where the roadsides are covered in it.

They really are. It’s awful.

its culture and society When we grew up we were clipped around the ear if we dropped litter, now nobody cares as parents dont set the example. Roadside and public spaces are a mess. No pride

My dog, Eric, loves to collect it all up and carry it to a bin, here is a pic as a puppy of him cleaning up Rivington Pike.

I see this every day and it saddens me to the point that when my parents are no longer with me, I will move to a country where the natural environment is respected. And yes, there any many places that it is.
