🚨Hazardous Weather Update from the NCEM Weather Team 🚨 ⚠️The threat of numerous flash floods has increased for northeastern portions of NC Wednesday and portions of central and eastern NC Thursday. ❗️A rare moderate risk for flash flooding in these areas has been introduced by the National Weather Service. ⛈️The threat for isolated severe storms remains in place for much of NC Wednesday afternoon and evening. The primary impacts will be damaging wind gusts and locally heavy downpours. However, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out for much of central NC and northern portions of eastern NC. 👍Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, especially at night. 👍If you live in a flood prone area, have a plan in place should you need to take protective action. 📌Full Forecast Update: #ReadyNC #ncwx

LIVE EMERGENCY UPDATE on category 5 Hurricane #Melissa that has stalled out just southwest of Jamaica! This could be the first sign of a northeast shift toward direct hit with Jamaica on Tuesday. This current NHC forecast track now shows a landfall on the western side of Jamaica. These are my thoughts on the #hurricane after refreshing satellite imagery every 60 seconds over the last 48 hours. Final preparations should be rushed to completion in Jamaica! This could be the strongest hurricane to ever strike Jamaica.

On a marine layer shrouded morning in Solana Beach, I’m waiting for Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to get me back Home. Thank You for following my journeys, this year especially. Above all, I’m immeasurably grateful for your support. I hope you enjoyed watching our FOX Sports coverage of Del Mar Racetrack & The Pacific Classic. Next year will be phenomenal with full Season-long coverage. In the meantime, I’m excited to be traveling later this week to Saratoga Race Course for Travers Weekend. Bob Seger wrote it best in his Song Travelin’ Man: “Up with the Sun, gone with the Wind….Travelin’ Man, Catch if you can. But sooner than later I’m goin’. Sometimes at night I see their faces. I feel the traces they’ve left on my Soul. Those are the Memories that make me a wealthy soul.” 🤓
