It continues to fund and support terrorist groups like TTP, BLA, and the Majeed Brigade to target innocent civilians in #Pakistan. #BREAKING: India hits out at Pakistan at the UN Security Council. India condemns strikes against Afghanistan by Pakistan at UN. India names and shames Pakistan for sponsoring terror groups. Indian Envoy to UN Parvathaneni Harish Statement: India strongly condemns the airstrikes on Afghan territory which are flagrant violations of international law and the UN Charter and the principle of state sovereignty. It is hypocritical to espouse high principles of international law and Islamic solidarity on the one hand, while mercilessly carrying out air strikes during the holy month of Ramadan that have killed 185 innocent civilians as of 6 March 2026, around 55% of whom are women and children and displaced over a hundred thousand according to the UNAMA on the other. We also reiterate our grave concern on the practice of trade and transit terrorism by denial of passage for trade and cynical closure of access for a land locked country. UN declarations on Land Locked Developing countries (LLDCs) sound hollow in the face of such actions. The trade and transit vulnerabilities of LLDCs should not be weaponized. This is a violation of WTO norms and of the UN Charter and international law. While we condemn these acts, we reaffirm our support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Afghanistan. Terrorism remains a global scourge afflicting humanity and only coordinated efforts of the international community would ensure that ISIL and Al Qaida and their affiliates including the Lashkar e Tayyiba and Jaish -e- Mohammed and proxies of LeT such as The Resistance Front, along with those who facilitate their operations, no longer indulge in cross border terrorism.

He will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts, as well as senior UN officials. In today’s session, presided by me on Pakistan’s behalf, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted Pakistan-sponsored Resolution 2788, on “Strengthening Mechanisms for the Peaceful Settlement of Disputes.” The resolution urges greater use of UN Charter Chapter VI tools including negotiation, enquiry, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, judicial settlement, and resort to regional and sub-regional organizations, as well as good offices of the Secretary General, and calls for inclusive diplomacy. This is a concrete step toward restoring the Council’s central role in conflict prevention and peaceful settlement of disputes. It resolution, inter alia, calls on Member States to take necessary measures for the effective implementation of Security Council resolutions on peaceful dispute settlement. Pakistan remains fully committed to advancing these principles through dialogue, international law, and multilateral cooperation. This resolution is an important contribution of Pakistan for the promotion and maintenance of international peace and security, and to the work of the UN Security Council.

On behest of their foreign masters, these cowardly acts of terrorism were aimed at disrupting the lives of local populace and development of Balochistan by targeting innocent civilians in District Gwadar and Kharan, wherein, terrorists maliciously targeted eighteen innocent civilians (including women, children, elderly and labours) who embraced Shahadat. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies being fully alert immediately responded and successfully thwarted the evil design of terrorists displaying unwavering courage and professional excellence. Our valiant troops carried out engagement of terrorists with precision and after prolong, intense and daring clearance operation across Balochistan, sent ninety two terrorists including three suicide bombers to hell, ensuring security and protection of local populace. Tragically, during clearance operations and intense standoffs, fifteen brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat. The visit commenced with Eid prayers along with special supplications for Pakistan’s enduring peace, stability and prosperity and for the Shuhada, who rendered the ultimate sacrifice in defence of the motherland. Extending Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, the Field Marshal commended their exceptional grit, unwavering resolve, operational preparedness and steadfast vigilance amid foreign-sponsored terrorism. He paid rich tribute to the troops for their unmatched courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation against the menace of terrorism and hostile threats sponsored by inimical forces. Referring to the recent cowardly terrorist incident in Quetta orchestrated by Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan and its proxies, the Field Marshal reaffirmed that such inhuman and brutal acts cannot weaken the resolve of Pakistan Armed Forces or the nation.
