That is a threat to democracy." Great response, but can everyone on the right stop misgendering the Republic by calling it a democracy? We are a Constitutional Republic.

The democracy cult is obsessed with turning our country into a multiracial democracy where white Christians are the minority. Steven said that MAGA stands in the way of their multiracial democracy so they need to be defeated. The rejection of Congress Rajya Sabha candidate Meenakshi Natarajan ji's nomination from Madhya Pradesh raises serious questions about the fairness of our democratic institutions. When a Congress delegation approached the Election Commission to challenge this decision, officials refused to even meet them, forcing the delegation to stage a sit-in outside its office. The country is watching. Every such action raises serious questions about the independence of institutions and the health of our democracy. Democracy belongs to the people, not to those who seek to undermine it. PM Modi and the Election Commission want to silence every democratic voice that challenges the government. On behalf of the government and the people of Plateau State, I appreciate UNICEF for their swift response and the interest they have shown in the calamity that has befallen us, their intervention has given us hope. As a government we will continue to collaborate with all our international partners and make sure we maximize all the services they can render to our people. I also pleaded with them to ensure the people return to their communities by providing things that make life easier to the community like water,education as we start the program of ‘return to the community’. I appreciate them for coming and I look forward to collaborating more with our international partners.

I thank former PM of New Zealand and Chair of International Democracy Union, The Rt Hon Stephen Harper, for the kind invitation. I conveyed the unwavering commitment of MDP Secretariat towards protecting the hard-earned democratic gains in #Maldives and supporting democracy worldwide. Our world is currently faced with a democratic decline, loss of confidence in democracy as a whole and new characteristic of authoritarianism taking root. At #IDUForum2024, I underscored the importance of working together to tackle these new challenges. Multilateralism, greater international cooperation and collaboration is the key to achieving a resilient, stable, prosperous and democratic future!
