Hello, everyone. Our team in Kharkiv needs your help in delivering engineering equipment (excavators) and protecting our Bohdana howitzers. Please, listen to and watch the video we have created to explain why this is urgently needed. Our team embarked on a trip to design and build additional protection Bohdanas for the Ukrainian 47th artillery brigade, but unfortunately, russians invaded before we could start our work. While we were waiting to commence, we lost three Bohdana howitzers in Kharkiv. I can't invent a time machine, but I can work on saving what's left. However, I need your help. The Sameer Project camps host around 117 families and one of them is the Batoul Camp that has around 27 vulnerable families. On June 15th, we distributed diapers and formula to those who need it for $217, including 11% commission. This included 6 packs of baby diapers and 5 adult diapers and 5 formula. Help here: The Batoul Camp will soon be closed and the families will join our other camps. This is due to lack of funds as donations dropped a lot recently. Even simple things like providing diapers and formula are not consistent due to the lack of support. Caring for 117 families with patients in a genocide is expensive and your contribution is needed. A busy day for our team that went up to the border to rescue the abandoned cats. 26 souls were rescued (including a momma cat and her kittens). Most of the cats were quite bewildered by their abandonment and seemed relieved to be rescued. They will be taken into quarantine and made comfortable. Tomorrow the vets team will be busy checking each one carefully. Thank you to those who donated last night to support these cats. There is still time to donate if anyone can help us to help them. Music classes have to stop 💔😭 Look at their smiles and faces filled with joy in their music therapy classes. One of our favorite videos comes from the music classes with Jaber and his team but sadly we will have to stop them! Help: The lack of donations are forcing us to cut down on our work, and this will include the five camps that were receiving weekly music classes, including the three camps run by The Sameer Project. We find music therapy essential and not a luxury but just like we had to reduce water by 50%, we had to cut down on our activities. Our hearts break as we are constantly advocating for aid and support to Palestinians in Gaza in the ongoing genocide. But donations are continuously dropping for mutual aid groups and some are considering closing due to lack of funds. Local councils aren’t foreign embassies. You pay your council tax for your bins to be emptied and potholes to be filled, not to fund performative piety. Plastering foreign flags across British public buildings is just plain stupid. Reform UK councils are taking them down. We fly the Union flag. We serve our residents. Support Ukraine? Yes. But that doesn’t mean their flag needs to fly here.
