The problem is bigger than the one who did it. The real problem is the other cop who watched him, backed him up, and the department that refused to put the scumbag in cuffs themselves. That is why cops are called the "Blue Gang."

Need more information..but just from what I’ve seen in the video..there is no criminal violation. He doesn’t have to ID himself and it was completely unjustified, unnecessary use of force and false arrest! I would sue that officers ass into an oblivion. Noticed the partner didn’t do anything and failed to step in to stop his partners illegal activity!

Don’t blindly “back the blue” because there are definitely some bad ones out there.

The good news is that the settlement will be more than enough for him to spend much more time with his son.

This cop should not be carrying a weapon. Ever.

I am beyond angry at these cops. That is one of the most disturbing incidents involving police officers. I support the blue but I am so disgusted.

I grew up in socialism and this is right there with it. Police always harassed us and asked us to show ID.

I noted yesterday that this could have been handled much differently. Cops escalated too quickly, now they, their department and the city or county are gonna get sued big time. Dad has his son's college or business start-up savings fund secured.
