My guy didn’t make excuses. When the Lakers gave Kobe a respectable roster, he elevated his teammates and he won at all cost. Kobe won back to back chips without a Top 75 player and with his second option averaging under 20PPG. No other player in history can say this. Even after the embarrassing loss to the Celtics in 2008, Kobe came back stronger. Through the injuries and through the pain he did what everybody thought he couldn’t. True leader.

LeBron shrunk, switched off Kobe, asked Prince to guard him on the last shot, then proceeded to not even hit the rim on his final shot. Kobe was being instantly doubled in a game with the best players in the world- only Kobe was getting instant doubles. Let that sink in. Mamba was one of one. That's why Coach K recruited him- Bron wasn't good enough to lead Team USA to gold. They had to go get Kobe to do that. 👊
