If Essence is the standard you’re using for a hit, then Davido hasn’t had one by that measure, and Burna Boy’s was Last Last. And to be clear, I didn’t say your video was bad.

There is a difference between Hit and global hit, that is where i wanted you to think towards. Watch the video again putting this in context.

Using Essence as wizkid's last global hit is okay because afrobeats only have 4 global hit song as a genre. That's Essence, Last last, peru and Calm down. If you're using Essence as a metrics to determine a hit song that means nobody has had a hit song apart from these 4 songs.

Notice how i said “global hit” with essence, and then i said “hit” for the rest of the other guys in comparison to Wiz since 2020. Now between Wiz, Burna and Davido, who has had more hits since year 2020? Not global hits….
