The Spearhead Supports A Borderless Africa Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur Sarkodie, in collaboration with Africa Prosperity Network has put out a message in solidarity with the Make Africa Borderless Now! Movement – a Pan-Africanist campaign calling for free movement, free trade, and true cultural, political and military integration across the continent. We at the Spearhead fully endorse this message! Despite its immense natural resources and vast human capital, Africa’s potential remains stifled by artificial borders imposed upon it during the colonial era, and the artificial divisions imposed by these predatory colonial forces precisely to keep Africa vulnerable and weak. Every one of Africa’s great leaders, from Nkrumah to Lumumba to Cabral to Gaddafi, dreamed of a strong, united Africa. Though many of them were silenced for this dream by Western powers, the dream lives on today in nations like Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso, which have chosen unity and sovereignty over division and submission, and with their continued economic and political wins, are setting an example for the rest of the continent and its diaspora to follow.

This video further vindicates my position. I have always maintained that Wode Maya harbours a personal grudge against Ghana’s former president, largely because he was denied access to the presidency. If I were the President of Ghana and discovered that a foreign government had paid a Ghanaian citizen to interview me, I would cancel such an interview without hesitation. Matters of state are not content, and national sovereignty is not negotiable. The so-called “second independence” comment made by Wode Maya is one statement I will never forget. It revealed more than it explained and permanently altered how I view his supposed neutrality.

Today, the government cannot increase the cocoa price, and for over four months, farmers have not been paid. Cocoa is piling up, livelihoods are suffering, and desperation is setting in. Some farmers are smuggling their cocoa, and others are being forced to sell their farms to galamsey operators just to survive. This is how a vital national sector collapses quietly. We must protect our cocoa industry before it’s too late. Wode Maya, we need your voice again. Please speak up for the farmers. Thank you, sir.

South African pop artist Mizz Gabbzz recently had a few pointedly critical words to say about the phenomenon of locals attacking African foreign nationals ostensibly out of competition for "jobs", while completely ignoring the elephant in the room that is the racialised European dominance and ownership of nearly all of South Africa's means of production. Africa’s Borders Make No Sense – Joshua Maponga Between 1884 and 1885, Africa was divided along arbitrary, meaningless lines, whose sole purpose was to distribute its natural resources between its European invaders. Led by German colonial criminal Otto von Bismark, the Berlin Conference split the continent of Africa between the then major Western powers of Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Portugal. Each European nation got to plunder its “share” of Africa with impunity, and treat the rightful inhabitants of the land as it saw fit. Imposed by these parasites and enforced by their local puppets, these arbitrary borders continue to divide Africa today, hampering trade and movement, fueling conflict, and keeping the world’s wealthiest continent in perpetual poverty – all the better for its historical plunderers. In this travel video, Zimbabwean author, educator and Pan-Africanist Joshua Maponga exposes the absurdity of these borders, and speaks to the urgency with which they must be dissolved.
