Immigration works like this: Everyone who leaves can no longer help make their country a better place. Every person who wants to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, they come to America instead of offering their own country their talents. Americans aren't refugees. We aren't immigrants. We decided to take over a wild land, tame it, cultivated, and conquer the inhabitants to make it our own. We didn't show up at the Indians doorstep asking to be part of their tribe and live in their teepees. I absolutely hate the quote at the bottom of the Statue of Liberty. It disgusts me. America is not a refugee camp. Canada shouldn't be a refugee camp either.
