One of the shooters used a home made “ghost gun” that was likely 3-D printed. Barnes also says one of the guns was fitted with a switch. This is a small illegal device that changes a normal semi-automatic handgun into a fully automatic machine gun.

The city has recorded 15 homicides this year, continuing the trend of a reduction in homicides since the record of 74 in 2023.
