I'm FREEEEEE 🌴🏖️🐻‍❄️ Look at me running around as my 3d beastie on my private ! If you own a PixelBeasts ᵍᵐ, your 3d beastie is auto-loaded as an avatar in the game! (Just like you get 2d sprites in Pixels). Except Snek, those aren't rigged up in 3d

Here's an example of what you can create with Foldspace! Foldspace is a new plugin for #AfterEffects that enables artists to create, edit, and animate curved 3D surfaces. It's still a work in progress. #motiondesign #animation #WIP

Did you know that you can split the screen in ZBrush in half? This is such a handy feature if you're working with scans, or 3D models for reference.

Demo of our new ML based monocular ( no LiDAR required ) 3d capture mode in 3d Scanner App ™ . It's pretty inaccurate / rough compared to LiDAR, and only works indoors, but it's free. Available in version 2.0.17 for iPhone 13/14 devices.

Midjourney-to-3D is now available! (Indeed, you can convert any 2D image to 3D) Please note that, for now, you'll need to manually set a depth map for your image in order to view its correct 3D version. (You can use to generate the depth map) But... stay tuned! We'll soon be offering instant 3D conversion for any image. *This is just an experimental version, and any feedback or videos of your results would be really interesting to see!

Mapbox has a brand new 3D map style, still in beta! But it didn’t have a hackable live demo, so at Skydio we created one 😎 , try it out here: The updates include: - Hundreds of new 3D models for famous landmarks - New symbolic design that works hand in hand with the style - Day/night light shift built in! How does this help? Through more accurate 3D maps: - Data displayed on the map is more useful as it’s easier to understand where you are (our brains think in 3D) - More immersive 3D experiences are unlocked, not just navigation Looking forward to seeing where Mapbox takes this next

Stop managing prompts. Start managing a team. I am building an experimental 3D workspace where AI agents collaborate in a living office. Link to demo & code coming soon. What would you ask this team to build?

LLaVA-3D A Simple yet Effective Pathway to Empowering LMMs with 3D-awareness Recent advancements in Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) have greatly enhanced their proficiency in 2D visual understanding tasks, enabling them to effectively process and understand images and videos. However, the development of LMMs with 3D-awareness for 3D scene understanding has been hindered by the lack of large-scale 3D vision-language datasets and powerful 3D encoders. In this paper, we introduce a simple yet effective framework called LLaVA-3D. Leveraging the strong 2D understanding priors from LLaVA, our LLaVA-3D efficiently adapts LLaVA for 3D scene understanding without compromising 2D understanding capabilities. To achieve this, we employ a simple yet effective representation, 3D Patch, which connects 2D CLIP patch features with their corresponding positions in 3D space. By integrating the 3D Patches into 2D LMMs and employing joint 2D and 3D vision-language instruction tuning, we establish a unified architecture for both 2D image understanding and 3D scene understanding. Experimental results show that LLaVA-3D converges 3.5x faster than existing 3D LMMs when trained on 3D vision-language datasets. Moreover, LLaVA-3D not only achieves state-of-the-art performance across various 3D tasks but also maintains comparable 2D image understanding and vision-language conversation capabilities with LLaVA.
