verbosity modes are an underrated idea. matching output density to what the task actually needs is one of those small decisions that compounds fast.

@opencode Which mode did you end up preferring? I feel like perfecting the right verbosity can be tough

yeah this kind of tooling pays for itself so fast. otherwise something like verbosity is mostly vibes, but with real sessions side by side you can actually keep tweaking the little things instead of guessing.

You can use a 100% open source and MUCH cheaper/free alternative to Claude Code and Opus 4.5 OpenCode + MiniMax M2.1 can even build a 3D website using pure vibe coding. Steps are really simple: 1. Install OpenCode using the command 'npm i -g opencode-ai' 2. Get your MiniMax API key here: 3. Configure the MiniMax (official) mode Just type "opencode connect minimax" Coding plans start at $2… 10x cheaper than Claude Code (yes). You can also invite friends so they can get 10% off and you’ll get 10% API credits. I finally got tool-calling working on the Qwen3.5 on iPhone. Just over 20 toks/sec and so far looking very useful. Especially when I get some more local tools working to access things on the phone. Uploading to GitHub when I've done a little more testing.

i've been enjoying the real secret weapon in Grok Build - free (seemingly unlimited?) access to all the real time conversations on X i use it to quickly understand public events and opinions, and it's completely goated - see video below. it's not sped up btw - that's jut how fast it is i'm actually surprised this isn't a built-in skill in Grok Build given this is a real differentiator, but anyway i just published how i do it as a "/whathappened" skill here - enjoy!
