How do you know when you're at 2 RIR if you never test failure? You don't. You're guessing. Research shows you're probably wrong by 3-4 reps. What people think is 2 RIR is actually 5 RIR. The solution: Train to actual failure regularly. Not every set. But often enough to calibrate perception. Once you've experienced true mechanical failure: where the weight won't move no matter how hard you try, then you know what proximity feels like. Then you can back off to 1-2 RIR with accuracy. If you never test it, you're training nowhere near as hard as you think. "I don't want to train to failure, it's not optimal." Cool. Then you can't accurately gauge intensity. Which means you probably don't have enough to grow. Pick your limitation.

I built a clone of the Yeezy store with Next.js. This was a fun challenge — the site has some smooth animations and feels very fast. But it was bothering me that I couldn't use the browser back button. Can we do better? So I rebuilt the site with v0 and Motion. Here's how it works: 1. When you click on a product, Motion is able to animate the original position of the product in the grid, to the zoomed in product detail page. 2. During this transition, we also shallow update the URL with the `/p/slug` route for the page. 3. If you press the back button in the navbar, or use the browser back button, or press escape — all options will take you back to the main product listing page. 4. If you reload the page while looking at a product, or someone sends you a link to a specific product, it still works! This is the best parts of a SPA and MPA mixed together. In the future, I can make this even better with View Transitions (I wasn't able to get the product animation just right, but if you can I'd love to see it!). I also took some creative liberties from the original design. The whole 1/2/3 size thing, where you needed to click the "?" to see SM/MD/LG was strange, so I just went directly to those sizes. Similarly, I prefered the more traditional style sheet/modal with the background color change, versus the full screen takeover. If you wanted to actually hook this up to Shopify now, you can swap the cart implementation with Next.js Commerce, which has all the APIs you need + optimistic writes 🔥 Should I make a video walking through the code?

If you think pre season is a joke then you have no idea how difficult it is for players to stay in shape and most of this training are connected to how the team wants to play during the season. This is what the first few days in the pre season looks like and medicals like blood test, flexibility check, mobility test, VO2Max test, and the heart test to see if the heart is healthy. My personal view on pre season test is that I hated the VO2Max test and if you are not fit enough the pass the test which usually last for just 15 minutes. When I was at Vitesse Arnhem and Red star Belgrade my medicals took 3days to be completed and it was the longest I ever had. If you don't take your off season trainings seriously you will be exposed on the first day of pre season test and you will be in trouble with the coach.

If you, on your own volition, wake up one morning, and decide to go have a DNA paternity test of "your" children, then you must also be ready for the results that will come back to you. You must have reasonable cause to go for the test. That reasonable cause means you are not 100% sure if the kids are yours and hence need a confirmation test. The DNA centers are supposed to take you through counseling before you sign on to do the test. Don't go for a test and later come and disturb us online with the results. Nobody asked for it. The situation is different if you need to have the DNA test to help you complete some documentation for traveling etc. That one you didn't request for the test out of your own volition.
