Worst Justin Herbert game I've seen in a while

Strongly agree! But I’m not gonna defend Herbert’s great film all the time and then go mum when he has a bad game. He did in this one.

This is an indictment on him not trusting his OL and his OC always calling long developing plays. He definitely left a lot out there.

great video. i love herbert, but he played scared this game. was scared to set his feet and make the throws. it’s just the truth. it’s not like him and it’s unusual and make the texans game last year in the WC round is what made him overthink this game. so weird

Best breakdown so far that ive seen from this game. PTSD from last year playoff added with getting his ass kicked all season this year makes for a timid and shook QB smh. Pitiful.

He has to have a mental block. There’s no real other explanation. There’s no way you can routinely make these plays then just shut down.

This was a solid breakdown. The first half he did have time to throw. Looked like he was playing scared and trying not to throw an int. But also lack of a run game also didn’t help because it was essentially not an option. 2nd half they absolutely torched our OL

Ben I think the problem is Herbert eternal clock was speed up this game he knew this was a big moment and that the oline hasn’t held up all year long so he was going through 3 reads in a split second when he hit each read they hadn’t uncover themselves yet

He wasn't superman yesterday, definitely gun-shy including "safe" overthrows. But man, you're pausing these videos and know exactly where to look for the tiniest subtleties of body language, idk if other QBs would see this. His clock is sped up, justifiably.

Herbert is a choke master, that is all there is to it. The O line was actually doing their job for a little bit. Justin doesn't have that dog in him, too timid.... overly nice....he use to be my homie, used to be my ace, now I want to slap his face

Even w Omarion out we should’ve trusted Vidal as we did in previous games. Not running the ball killed us. We ran the ball or tried to all season and now we decided to abandon it. That week off did Herbert no favors.
