DISMISSED ... Urban and rural development minister James Sankwasa has dismissed Omuthiya mayor Johannes Ndeutepo, who has been living in Windhoek, for contravening the Local Authorities Act. Sankwasa made the decision this past Wednesday. BREAKING: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) investigators have arrived at the residence of former Namcor managing director Imms Mulunga, allegedly to arrest him in connection with suspected corrupt dealings that occurred during his tenure at the national oil company. Speaking to Namibian Sun this morning, ACC director-general Paulus Noa confirmed that the commission is actively investigating individuals linked to Namcor, with more arrests expected. “We will be bringing a few suspects before court very soon,” Noa said. This development follows Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare’s statement in parliament last week, where he confirmed having been briefed by Noa about the probe into Namcor. Reaffirming his support for the anti-graft body, Ngurare posted on X this morning: “I am satisfied with the progress being made thus far.” The ACC has yet to release an official statement confirming Mulunga’s arrest or detailing the charges he may face.
