The frame leaves the screen for a split second and a larger frame is placed instead. Just consider the length of the RHS of piece 1, and the one above it is progressively larger, that's going to fit in the same area? Not a chance. They're using a larger frame each time.

Watch the 3 on the second frame move higher on the 2 for the last frame. Using different larger borders.
