Fuck no. That's ugly and irritating to look at. There's a design on the floor for a reason. And the carpet doesn't go with it at all

It doesn't line up with the lines on the floor, and it sits halfway in front of the steps...making it a trip hazard

The people that would cover that floor with a rug are the same ones that would paint brick.

That's where you're wrong. Carpet and rugs hold nastiness. I do think it would have looked better if they had made it at least match the original border on the floor and fit it to the inside of it, but they screwed that up too.

I've never understood why people would want to cover a beautiful floor with a rug. A small one at the door is a great idea. And one in the family room so adults can get on the floor and play with dogs & cats & kids is a great idea. But I don't need a big one in every room.

It's awful. One foot steps on carpet, one foot steps on the floor as you come off the stairs.

Why have a marble floor if you’re going to cover it completely.

Workmanship is impeccable but why not just get a longer rug and fit it proportionally into the existing border?

The work in cutting & re-joining the carpet around the stairs, was good. But a worthless effort. The marble floor border takes the lead, Bro. Carpet just didn't fit. End.
