Oklahoma ranks 49th out of 50. Maybe they should prioritize education? Just a thought.

@RyanWaltersSupt Then any book of any religion is allowed into schools as well. You don’t get to pick and choose which religion is the national religion.

The Constitution does not mention God, Jesus Christ, or Christianity. It contains the word “religion” only twice, in Article 6, which exempts government office holders from a religious test; and in the First Amendment. They did not establish Christianity as America's official

I voted for Trump but it’s not okay to use tax payers money for one religions teachings in the schools which is also paid for by tax dollars. I agree we need more morality in this country but forcing an agenda is not the way.

Except @RyanWaltersSupt didn’t bring back Bibles. Bibles have been here since the 90s thanks to the legislators that made that happen. We have dozens of districts that use it effectively. Ryan ran on Back to Basics because our students struggle with reading. You know we are 49th? In two years we have sat at the same level under Ryan. It’s time parents start cashing out the checks @RyanWaltersSupt & @MattlangstonTX promised us with improving education. We have 5th grade teachers with 47 students in their classroom because teachers are leaving. Use your platform tonight entice these teachers to return. Maybe @realDonaldTrump and @4TiffanyJustice can help since we have spent 2 years waiting on the campaign promises by Ryan to come through?

The "establishment" clause of the First Amendment protects citizens against any law which selects any religious custom, practice, or ritual, puts the force of government behind it, and fines, imprisons, or otherwise penalizes a person for not observing it. The Establishment Clause acts as a double security, for its aim is as well the prevention of religious control over government as the prevention of political control over religion. The First Amendment's framers knew that intertwining government with religion could lead to bloodshed or oppression, because this happened too often historically. To prevent this dangerous development they set up the Establishment Clause as a line of demarcation between the functions and operations of the institutions of religion and government in society.[
